With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, various dimensions of security in the Baltic region are being redefined. Neutral Finland and Sweden recently joined NATO. The hybrid nature of Russian actions has forced the development of European policies that strengthen regional security. These include counteracting disinformation, cybersecurity, economic security, changing the way we think about regional cooperation, and the security of the maritime environment.
With our experts, we want to talk about the current challenges in the Baltic Sea region, including the change in its geopolitical status within the European Union and NATO, as well as status of Russia in the region. Both Russia as a real threat to stability and security in the region, and Russia, with which the other countries in the region, whether collectively or individually, will enter into further interactions. In turn, for Polish-German relations particular importance plays the activity of both countries in the region and their own policies towards Russia.
The discussion will be held in English.
